Prior to tendering and winning the new staffroom project we had worked for the school on previous occasions, and consider ourselves to have a good working relationship with them and their on site architect Ian Caudell.
New Staffroom Conversion - £64,787
The works comprised of a complete strip out of the existing internal partition walls and fittings to the first floor rooms, which were a redundant medical room, Library, Male Toilets and corridor off the first floor landing to the main access staircase to provide a new staffroom facility, including new Male and Female toilets, kitchenettes, seating and work preparation areas and new electrical and mechanical installations.
The existing school buildings remained fully operational during part Of the works. The works commenced during the two week Easter Holiday period and follow on into the summer term.
All of the carpentry work shown in the picture above was carried out by our experienced carpenter who actually passed his NVQ based on the extremely ‘high standard’ of work and workmanship shown here.
Limitations and restrictions were in place in regards to parking and deliveries to site. All deliveries were to be arranged to avoid the morning registration, lunch times and school leaving times. The amount of parking spaces were limited and any vehicles were agreed prior to commencement.
